As part of Mental wellbeing this week,  we read the story Silly Billy.
In this story a little boy has worries which keep him awake. His grandmother gives him a 'Worry Doll' to share his worries with.
Today during Exploring time we made our own Worry Dolls.
We used big wooden pegs and wound wool around them to make clothes.

Week 5
Exploring Time.

This week we were focusing on The Ilam School Vision of I Question. This was also connected to our Inquiry of Challenge and 'not giving up' when something gets tricky.

Headbanz is a game where you have to ask questions to discover what is
on the headband you are wearing.

 One of our focus letters this week was 'm'. The children were able to create their own imaginative monsters. There were lots of giggles and creative thinking going on as well as practising cutting out.

Week 2 Exploring Time

This week we focussed on helping and supporting each other, which relates to our value of being KIND.
During our Exploring time we made our Mother's Day cards, Leaf Men pictures and had some challenges such as building a car that is pushed by the wind and lego challenges. I hope you enjoy the photos below.

After reading the book 'The Leaf Man' we made our own leaf men.

They all have their own personalities. I have taken photos of the 

leaf men to display in the class. The leaves don't stick very well.

Cultural Boxes 
I was so proud of the children and their presentations this week. They also showed pride for their cultures and the items they shared.
