Kapa Haka

On Thursday at Kapa Haka, Mike got to blow the conch shell.
It is very difficult to blow and the Maori use it to draw people to performances.
Mike did an amazing job and was able to produce a sound.
Ka Pai Mike.

Change - Who is that baby?

This week we did an activity to help us think about change. We looked at baby photos of each other...yes even the Year 1 teachers.
What fun we had. Some children still look just like their baby photos. Some have changed so much they were hard to recognise.
Changes we noticed were -

  • we have grown
  • we now have hair
  • we can now use a toilet
  • we can dress ourselves
  • we can feed ourselves
  • we can walk & talk
  • we wear bigger clothes

Antarctic Centre

We had such an amazing day yesterday.
In the words of Mackenzie -
"We had an exciting adventure!"
We loved the penguins, the 4D movie, the blizzard room and exploring the rest of the centre.
